|RNA is co-sponsoring a community meeting tonight with the MUA and other Jersey City Sewage-Free Streets and Rivers partners to discuss sewage discharge and water retention solutions|
Let your voice be heard tonight, April 4th at PS#28 at 6 pm on how the city should approach its upcoming obligation to fix its sewage overflow problem in its combined sewer system. To decrease storm water run off, the city will need to invest in needed but expensive infrastructure upgrades. This cost will be passed to homeowners and renters (indirectly) by potential rate increases for water. All options will be discussed, including green infrastructure such as increasing city and developer investment in rain gardens, street trees, and green roofs
