2020 Proposed Bylaws Changes

The changes below are being proposed by the current 2019 RNA Officers and will be voted on at our January 14th, 2020 meeting. You will need to be a 2020 paid member and have attended one meeting in the previous 12 months in order to vote.

Summary of Bylaws Changes
  • Article I - Section 2
    • Address change from former President to PO Box. This PO box is not new and allows for consistency going forward.
  • Article III - Section 1 - (a)(i)(4)
    • The western boundary changed to include Central Avenue from Bowers to North. This is a zone with no neighborhood association and allows for the boundaries of the Pershing Field Neighborhood Association as shown on the included map. The dashed line (- - -) is the extension, the solid line is the existing boundaries.
  • Article III - Section 1 - (b)(i,ii,iii,iv)
    • Establishment of Non-Voting members. This will allow all residents of The Heights to become members of our organization and with approval become members of our Board of Directors. Executive Officers however still need to reside within our boundaries.
  • Article III - Section 4
    • Modification of the Termination and Suspension policy to allow Officers who leave the geographic boundaries to complete their term if they still reside within the 07307 zip code and a majority of the remain Officers approve.
  • Article V - Section 16
    • Allows members of the Board of Directors to complete their term with the approval of the Officers.
  • Article VI - Section 6
    • Allows for relocation of Officer and completion of term with the approval of the Officers.
  • Article XIV - Section 1
    • Modified to allow changes to bylaws by other approved methods than an in-person vote if the Board of Directors approves the method. It also changes the notification of any changes from 2 months to 1 month after notice is given.
